Submission

The submission of curriculum proposals for consideration and approval are done through the University's Kuali Curriculum Management system, using proposal forms.

Draft Kuali proposal forms are used to create new proposals, or to propose changes (or retirements) to existing records. Once the draft is ready, selecting the Submit for Approval feature will send it to the dedicated workflow path of approvals.

Recommendation

Although the workflow steps begin after the academic unit level, academic units can use Kuali to draft preliminary proposals and review drafts together during academic unit meetings.

  • If everyone in the academic unit has view access to Kuali content: Can share the URL of the draft proposal.
  • If not everyone in the academic unit has view access to Kuali content:
    • Can display the content on a large screen/monitor (in-person meeting) or use the share screen function on Teams (remote meeting).
    • Can create an individual PDF of the draft and circulate it.
