Mission statement

The Symposium of Neuroscience Research aims to provide graduate students with a supportive platform to showcase their work, foster collaboration across disciplines, and develop their professional and presentation skills, thereby contributing to the growth and innovation of the neuroscience community at UW.

The Symposium on Neuroscience Research aims to be a leading platform that empowers graduate students in neuroscience. We envision a vibrant community at UW where emerging researchers are equipped with the skills, confidence, and connections needed to advance the field of neuroscience and make impactful findings.

 

Objectives

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among graduate students engaged in neuroscience research.
  • Provide an opportunity to practice presentation skills in a supportive and safe environment.
  • Provide a professional development opportunity for graduate students.
  • Promote the sharing of research findings and methodologies. 
  • Enhance the visibility of neuroscience research.

Please note that research with a focus on neuroscience, from any discipline, is eligible for consideration. We encourage submissions from students at any stage of their research, including proposals and partial results.
