CCCARE offers programs, services, research and education out of two main locations: Manulife Wellness Centre in the Lyle Hallman Institute for Health Promotion and Toby Jenkins Applied Health Research Building (340 Hagey Blvd).

Manulife Wellness Centre

CCCARE at the Manulife Wellness Centre in the Lyle Hallman Institute offers a variety of exercise and clinical research space.

Highlights of the space include:

  • Main gymnasium and fitness assessment lab
    • Strength and cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, free weights, and TRX®

Toby Jenkins Building

CCCARE at the Toby Jenkins Applied Health Research Building offers a variety of clinical and research space, supported by equipment and staffing from the Department of Kinesiology in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and a funding received through the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).

Highlights of the space include:

  • Main gymnasium
    • Strength and cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, NuStep® T5XR recumbent steppers, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, free weights, TRX®, resistance training machines, and a walking track.
  • Fitness studio
    • Open studio space to accommodate small group training (e.g. posture, yoga, balance classes), teaching activities, or research
  • Cardiovascular assessment lab
  • Bone and body composition lab
  • Musculoskeletal assessment lab
  • Mobility assessment lab
  • Multisensory Brain and Cognition Lab
  • Brain health assessment lab
  • Soundproof booth
  • Neuroscience assessment lab
  • 4 clinical assessment rooms
  • 2 tissue sampling rooms
  • 2 consultation rooms
  • Staff and faculty office space
  • Graduate students workstations
