Congratulations to Yung Priscilla Lai, Kyung Eun Sun and Hiroki Takamura on winning the 2^nd place poster presentation (capstone design project) for designing an undergraduate food processing laboratory for the University of Waterloo, held at the 4th annual Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA) Conference in  Montreal, QC on June 17-20, 2013.  

Congratulations to PhD student Katharina Hassel  who won the first place award - "Reg Friesen student oral paper award" held at the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering Conference, Fredericton, NB. October 21, 2013.

PhD student Drew Higgins has been named the recipient of the 2013 Electrochemical Society (ECS) Canadian Section Student Award for his research on nanostructured fuel cell and battery electrode materials, carried out under the supervision of Prof. Zhongwei Chen.
