Hult Prize Waterloo 2021 Kick-Off

Hult Prize 2021 ChallengeGet ready for Hult 2021! It’s been a unique year so far but that doesn’t stop us from bringing you the Hult Prize, a social entrepreneurship competition which challenges student teams around the globe to develop sustainable social ventures to address the world's most pressing issues—with a global grand prize of $1 million USD! Please register to join us at our Kick-Off event.

Please join us to hear a webinar by Professor Alison Scott (PhD ‘19), winner of the 2020 Park and Veva Reilly ChE Medal for Proficiency in Research. She will discuss her work on a general framework for the design of polymeric materials, which maximizes experimental resources and optimizes the resulting polymer product’s suitability for its intended application. Professor Scott will discuss two distinct (yet related) case studies to demonstrate that the framework can be useful in many industries and applications and for any type of polymeric material.

Please join us to hear Professor Bruno Blais from École Polytechnique speak about his research group’s initiatives to leverage high-performance computing, computational fluid dynamics and the discrete element method to help optimize and intensify chemical processes.

Join Waterloo Engeering for an Alumni Speaker Series webinar moderated by our new Dean of Engineering, Professor Mary Wells.

In a worldwide race to find solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic, Waterloo Engineering professors and alumni are working on engineering a variety of unique solutions. In this virtual webinar, you'll learn about vaccine development and the complexities involved, portable and rapid diagnostic testing, and innovative ways of using imaging for screening and diagnosis.
