Fee schedules (tuition cost for each program), as well as methods of payment, posted due dates, and late fee information, are available at Waterloo Finance Student Accounts.
Tuition and expense details can be found at the study and living costs page available through Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA). This information will aide you in calculating your annual financial needs, including tuition and cost of living.
International students requiring fee statements will need to contact the Finance department for a letter required for immigration.
Tuition fees for foreign students are much higher than for Canadian students in the province of Ontario. In order to make graduate studies in Ontario universities more accessible to outstanding foreign students, we have a limited number of IGSA (International Graduate Student Awards) to help reduce tuition fees.
Recent changes in government support for this program may limit the availability of these scholarships. Inquiries should be directed to the Graduate Coordinator of the Department of Management Sciences.
Since competition for these scholarships is great, foreign students are advised first to seek sufficient funding elsewhere, as described next.
We have welcomed students with financial support from countries such as:
Funding is also available from the International Council for Canadian Studies (ICCS) administrative International Scholarship Programs on behalf of the International Academic Relations Division of the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
Finally, the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) provides information on how to apply to different awards.
Note: Confirmation of program of study/registration, degree completion/graduation, and/or other sources of funding such as GRS payments, scholarships and awards, must be ordered through the University Graduate Studies Office, Needles Hall Room 2072 by using the Enrolment Confirmation form.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
