The University of Waterloo Steel Bridge Design Team is a collection of students passionate about the engineering design process. The team provides the opportunity to apply knowledge learned in both the classroom and the workplace to a unique design challenge in an environment that promotes connections between students and industry professionals.

Many students find it easier to learn about mechanics (the study of forces and their effect on structures) when they can see load-carrying structures in 3D and can feel the forces they carry.

Convocation concludes Saturday with Engineering

Convocation will conclude this Saturday with two ceremonies for the Faculty of Engineering, with 1,475 students receiving degrees.

Muyiwa Ogunlaja a PhD student in Civil & Environmental Engineering received the award for best poster presentation at the 2015 World Water Day Graduate Research event, which was held at WLU on March 23, 2015.

Distinguished Teacher Awards for 2015 will be presented to four faculty members at convocation, associate vice-president, academic Mario Coniglio announced at last night's meeting of the university senate.
