The Department of Classical Studies is proud to present a lecture by Dr. Rob Tordoff from York University. The lecture is titled The Flaying at the Olive Tree: Problems in the Representation of Slavery in Aristophanes. It will be held Thursday, February 12 from 11:30-1:00 in RCH 206.

Dr. Altay Coşkun will be giving a public lecture titled Ancient Anatolia: The Cradle of Civilization and the Crossroads of Empires - An Overview from the Neolithic Period to the Later Roman Empire. The lecture is sponsored by the International Dialogue Institute and will take place Wednesday, November 12 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in Conrad Grebel College's Community Education Room. The gathering began with an excellent lecture from Dr. Victoria Wohl from the University of Toronto. Following the lecture, the annual awards for Classical Studies students were awarded.
Professor Sheila Ager will be giving a lecture titled Cleopatra: The Original Femme Fatale as part of THEMUSEUM's The Egyptian Dialogues series. Dr. Ager's lecture will be held on Sunday November 16 at 1:30.
