Meet the Profs is an annual informal event put on by the CMS for undergrads, grad students, and faculty to get to know each other.
The Classical Association of Canada, University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University are proud to present a lecture by Dr. Victoria Wohl from the University of Toronto. The lecture is titled Affective Leadership: Political Judgement and the Emotions in Classical Athens. It will be held on Friday, October 10 from 4:00-5:30 in AL 105.
Dr. Altay Coşkun will be giving a public lecture titled Ancient Anatolia: The Cradle of Civilization and the Crossroads of Empires - An Overview from the Neolithic Period to the Later Roman Empire. The lecture is sponsored by the International Dialogue Institute and will take place Wednesday, November 12 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in Conrad Grebel College's Community Education Room. Following the guest lecture of Dr. Patrick Baker, Laval University, on Thurs. 12 March (4-5:30, EV3-4412), a small graduate workshop will also be held titled “Methods of Asia Minor Studies”, which is scheduled to take place on Fri., 13 March (9:30-12:30, ML 245 = German Reading Room). Dr. Baker, Dr. Coskun, and Dr. Hardiman will be presenting a variety of source materials from Hellenistic and early Roman Asia Minor.
