Events

The Department of Classical Studies is proud to present a lecture by Dr. Patrick Baker from Université Laval. The lecture is titled Epigraphic documents and the history of Xanthos and Lycia: overall observations and specific examples. It will be held Thursday, March 12 from 4:00-5:30 in EV3 4412.

Following the guest lecture of Dr. Patrick Baker, Laval University, on Thurs. 12 March (4-5:30, EV3-4412), a small graduate workshop will also be held titled “Methods of Asia Minor Studies”, which is scheduled to take place on Fri., 13 March (9:30-12:30, ML 245 = German Reading Room). Dr. Baker, Dr. Coskun, and Dr. Hardiman will be presenting a variety of source materials from Hellenistic and early Roman Asia Minor.

The Department of Classical Studies is proud to present a lecture by Dr. Waldemar Heckel from the University of Calgary. The lecture is titled The Alexander Sarcophagus from Sidon: no open-and-shut case. It will be held Thursday, September 24 from 2:30-4:00 in E2 1303.
