The Department of Classical Studies is proud to present a lecture by Professor Lea Stirling, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg.  "A Togatus, A Philosopher and Other Statuary at the Late Roman Villa of Séviac (France)".  The lecture will be held on Monday February 25 from 10:00-11:20 in AL 124.  Please see poster for more information.  

The Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, in conjuction with the Department of Classical Studies at the University of Waterloo and the Classical Association of Canada are proud to present a lecture by Dr. Brendan Burke (University of Victoria) on Monday September 23 at 11:30 am in SB305 (Schlegel Building, WLU).  The talk is titled, "Excavations at Ancient Eleon and the Egvolving Landscape of Death in Early Mycenaean Greece.".  All are welcome.

The Department of Classical Studies is proud to present a lecture by Prof. Mariapia Pietropaolo (McMaster University).  The title of the talk is, "Imago Vocis: Reflections on Sound in the Story of Echo and Narcissus".  It will be held on Thursday March 12 form 2:30-4 in EV1 132.  This lecture is free and open to all interested.  Please see poster for more information.  

The Department of Classical Studies is proud to present a lecture by Dr. Michael Moloney, University of Calgary, and Dr. Tyler Flatt, Boyce College.  The talk, “A Bark to Brook the Mighty Sea: Modelling the Ships of the Trojan War” will be held on Friday February 26^th from 4-6 and will be held as a virtual event.  Both Dr. Michael Moloney and Dr.

The Classical Association of Canada, University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University are proud to present the annual fall lecture by Professor Matthew Sears, Univeristy of New Brunswick.  The title of the lecture is "For Freedom or for Glory?  Why the Greeks fought Wars."  The lecture will be held on Monday September 26th from 4-5:30 in ML 349.  This lecture is open to all.  

The Department of Classical Studies, in Association with the Hellenic Heritage Foundation, is pleased to announce a lecture by Dr. Stylianos Katakis (University of Athens) on Tuesday October 25 from 11:30-12:30 in HH 227.  The title of the talk is, "The Early Roman Presence in the Cyclades and the Southern Greek Mainland:  The Archaeological Evidence".  All are welcome.
