Change is afoot at Conrad. In early June, the University of Waterloo’s Board of Governors officially changed the Conrad Centre into the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business. This change reflects what Conrad has become and where it is going. We are eager to keep our community aware of what is changing, what is staying the same, and what to expect from the new Conrad School.

This month, Enterprise Co-op students pitched for five prizes of $5,000 at the Ignition Week pitch competition. Each competing student had five minutes to pitch their venture to a panel of judges, followed by a three-minute question period. Meet the Spring 2018 pitch winners!
Waterloo Hult Teams have travelled to Quito, Melbourne and Toronto to compete in Hult Prize 2018 Regional competitions. Here’s a quick update, from the teams themselves (in their own words), on how they did, and what’s next.
The Hult Prize is the largest start-up program in the world for early-stage social ventures, and once again, Waterloo student teams are advancing to regional competitions. Their challenge: build a scalable, sustainable social enterprise that harnesses the power of energy to transform the lives of 10 million people by 2025.

Manfred Conrad, notable local entrepreneur and benefactor of the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre, is being inducted to the Waterloo Region Entrepreneur Hall of Fame this evening (November 5), at a ceremony hosted by Junior Achievement (JA) Waterloo Region.
It is with great pleasure that the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre announces the appointment of Nada Basir to our faculty. We are thrilled to welcome Nada to Conrad as we expand our undergraduate programming to include the cross-campus Minor in Entrepreneurship.
