Trick or Treat in Environment

Join us in the Faculty of Environment for some trick or treats courtesy of the Dean's office staff on October 31, 2024 from 2:00-4:30pm on the first floor of Environment 1. Costumes are strongly encouraged, but not required!

All Faculty of Environment community members are welcome to participate.

Important Note: Costumes should be respectful. Costumes that could be considered culturally insensitive or that perpetuate stereotypes are not allowed. We celebrate diversity and encourage costumes that honour and respect all cultures. Ensure that costumes do not pose safety risks. Props should be non-threatening and not pose any risk to others.

This event will follow the Soup and Bannock hosted by the Faculty of Environment, Dean's Office at United College.

Students from the Faculty of Environment participated in the V2V Field School in Barkul, Chilika, India, joining a global delegation to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by coastal communities and small-scale fisheries. Co-directed by Dr. Prateep Nayak and Dr. Derek Armitage, the program focused on applying a commons approach to help these communities transition from vulnerability to viability.

Environment reunion

No matter what year you graduated, join us on campus to reconnect with friends and reminisce about your university days. This year, you’ll have a chance to meet the current dean, learn what’s new in the faculty, get crafty in the Ecology Lab, try out a state-of-the-art flight simulator and, of course, catch up with classmates, profs and fellow grads. We hope you can join us!

Bordering Lake Erie and extending to all of Norfolk County, the Long Point Biosphere is home to the world’s longest freshwater sand spit formation and a host of other unique natural settings. To explore collaboration in education, public outreach, and research on sustainability, conservation, and the protection of biodiversity, the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability and the Long Point Biosphere Region Foundation have signed a letter of intent setting out a framework to pursue new projects together.
