Dave Fox (BES 2009, GEOG)
Principle and Owner, Quantify Environmental
Dave is on a different manufacturing facility and production floor every week. He is an industry leader in industrial water and food loss & waste (FL+W) analysis. With over ten years of consulting experience, Dave has a proven record of implementing practical ways for factories to reduce water use and ingredient loss during production, often with ROIs of less than one year. Dave’s proficiency to connect traditionally unrelated ideas and build meaningful relationships between plant managers, owners, and approved contractors and service providers, enables him to push both capital investment projects and valuable low-cost/no-cost projects through to completion. Dave’s ability to communicate with all stakeholders engages the entire team and drives sustainability projects to completion.
In addition to his role with Quantify Environmental, Dave is a part-time instructor in the Department of Applied Sciences and Technology at Humber College, instructing courses focused on Sustainable Resource Management.
Prior to founding Quantify Environmental, Dave was a Project Manager and Technical Sales leader at a leading consulting firm. Dave managed corporate accounts, managed individual projects, and drove sales by expanding new areas of service. Dave has personally completed FL+W assessment projects at over 30 unique Food and Beverage facilities across North America. Previously, Dave worked in environmental consulting as an Environmental Scientist managing Phase 1 and 2 site remediations on brownfields impacted by petrochemicals and associated LNAPLs.
Dave Fox is a recipient of the Clean 50 – Emerging Leader (2019).
Dave holds a Bachelor of Environment Degree in Biogeography and Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a MSc Degree in Arctic Geomorphology from McGill University.
