About Scott Duff (BES’90)
Scott Duff, BES ‘90, is a seasoned professional in the lodging industry with almost three decades of experience. Currently serving as Vice President, Development - Canada, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Scott has over 20 years of expertise in hotel branding and franchising. His extensive career includes leadership roles in Canadian development for Choice Hotels Canada, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and IHG Hotels & Resorts. He maintains a real estate license from his time as Vice President - Hotels at CBRE Limited. At Freed Developments, he served as Vice President Hotel Acquisitions & Business Development, focusing on innovative design and master planning for hotel acquisitions and joint ventures. In his current role, Scott is responsible for the strategy, development, and growth of IHG’s Lifestyle, Premium, and Mainstream brands across Canada. By prioritizing the Right Partner, Right Property, and Right Place, and collaborating with IHG’s brand, design, and operations teams, he aims to drive strategic growth for IHG brands and ensure the success of development partners and shareholders.
