Announcing the new director of SEED
Last June, the Faculty announced the results of five searches for new school directors and department chairs. The last of these appointments takes effect on July 1 as Dr. Jeffrey Wilson steps in as director of the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED). Join us in welcoming Jeff and wishing him well in this new role!
With Jeff’s appointment, Dr. Neil Craik steps down as director, a position he held on an interim basis for the past two years. In thanking Neil for this most recent administrative service, it is only fitting to recognize and thank him for his extensive service commitments over the past thirteen years. The list includes: director of SEED (multiple terms), acting associate dean research, associate director of the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA), co-director of the BSIA/CIGI International Law Summer Institute, co-lead of the Environment and Resources Research Cluster at BSIA, associate director of the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy, and member of the University Senate.
Faculty service is essential to advancing the unique mission of a university. Thank you to Neil, Jeff and all those who come forward to take on these important roles.
