FAUW has budgeted $55,000 for donations and sponsorships to be distributed for member-initiated activities aligned with FAUW’s objectives (e.g., events, speakers, meetings, training workshops related to teaching or research). This is a new approach for FAUW, and the purpose is to a) increase engagement with our members, and b) to do so in a transparent and equitable way.
In this first year, we have budgeted $18,333 per term. Please see FAUW donations and sponsorships for information about the guidelines, process, timelines, and to complete the donation and sponsorship application form. The application requires a brief description of activities, justification, and a proposed budget. Timelines for adjudication of budget requests depend on the size of the budget.
We will report back to the membership at our general meetings on the overall number of applications, budget requests, and success rate of applications.
