FAUW appoints members to dozens of university committees and other roles to ensure that faculty members’ voices are well represented at all levels of the University. The Nominating and Elections Committee works to find the best-suited people to represent FAUW members in these roles.
Elections for the Board of Directors take place in March each year. FAUW committees typically recruit new members in April/May.
How it works
The Committee reviews all expressions of interest and/or nominations, and passes the list of candidates to the FAUW Board or president (depending on the role), who make the final decisions. The Committee may reach out to discuss the role with candidates during the process. The contents of all form submissions are confidential to the Committee, FAUW staff, and the FAUW Board.
Select a committee or role below for more details about what's involved and any relevant qualifications.
