This term the committee received seven applications for project funding. Due to scheduling difficulties we were unable to hold two meetings, but collaborated on an online review of the applications received and from these observations sought follow-up details from several applicants. After this information was collected, the committee met and voted to recommend funding for the two projects this term for a total of $2500. The remaining five applications were rejected due to concerns about value for money, the quality of the application and the follow-up information provided on request, and in certain cases due to concerns over recent awards to the department/faculty.
