The Treasuer oversees all activites related to GSEF finances. The position is currently held by Ahmed Niaz.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Sits on both the Project Review Committee and the Board
- Oversees the finances of GSEF under the supervision of other Board members from the GSPA
- Gather and processes financial information for the fund to aid internal decision making such as the allocation of funds toward various activities and projects
- Tracks the financial position of the fund and assesses the financial ability to fund a project/activity and the financial impact of various actions
- Handles the disbursement or the reimbursement of funds to students
- Works with students to sort out the best way of accessing the fund
- Ensures that the purchases are made within University and GSEF guidelines and makes sure that the process satisfies the requirements and guidelines from Finance
