I start from a quick overview of the popular definitions of the discord and their physical interpretation in terms of various Maxwell's demons. Then I present a case for discord not telling anything about the local distinguishability, but being useful for understanding of by-local gates.

The main subject of the lecture is entanglement spectrum. After a short introduction the author will consider density matrix of a large block of spins on infinite lattice. The spectrum will be compared for the cases of Heisenberg chain and VBS states. Potential applications will be discussed.
