We're teaming up with Social Art for a fun night of virtual painting and quantum exploration.
Quantum mechanics, the science of the very small, is behind some of the greatest technologies and scientific debates of the past century. We can explore many of the most fascinating quantum ideas, including superposition, uncertainty and entanglement through the double-slit experiment, a classic test of the true nature of light, where individual particles of light produce startling wave patterns despite only interfering with themselves. We’ll discuss the true meaning of these patterns and how these ideas can be used for a new generation of information technology, then create a beautiful work of art inspired by them with fun, easy to follow step-by-step instruction. No experience needed!
This event will be held online using Zoom, and a link will be sent to you the day before the event to the e-mail address you register with.
