Delegate Visit from Tsinghua University

Tsinghua University delegates

On Monday, October 1, 2018, the Vice President of Research at Tsinghua University in China, Qi-kun Xue visited the University of Waterloo.  He also presemted a public lecture on Transformative Quantum Technologies entitled "Physics Beyond Ohm's Law." The objective of the delegation visit was to discuss collaborations on quantum sciences and quantum technology.

Visit of Xiamen University

Visit of Xiamen University

On Monday, September 24, 2018, the University of Waterloo welcomed delegates from Xiamen University led by Mr. ZHAN Yan, Chairman of Xiamen University Council.  The objective of the visit was to strengthen the relationship and review the existing 2+2 programs between the two universities and explore other potential collaborations.

Delegation visit from Baden-Württemberg Germany

On Friday September 21, 2018, delegates led by Theresia Bauer, Minister of Science, Research and Arts from Baden-Württemberg Germany, visited the University of Waterloo to discuss the bridging of science and economics in the automobile sector in regards to future mobility issues. The group toured WatCar during their visit. Existing and potential collaborations between the University of Waterloo and Baden-Württemberg were also explored.

Visit from IIT Tirupati and IIT Ropar

On Monday, September 17, 2018 the University of Waterloo met with delegates from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar to discuss opportunities for collaboration in student mobility, joint degree programs, research partnerships, and the possibility for establishing a Canada-India Center of Excellence at each IIT.
