2018 Training Program for Top Management of Japanese Universities

Japan leaders

On November 13th and 14th, we hosted top Japanese University leaders for the "2018 Training Program for Top Management of University," funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan. The focus of their two-day agenda was to gain insight into university management and learn about co-operative education, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and commercialization, and international research.

Delegates visited from University of Tsukuba in Japan on Monday October 22, 2018 to explore the possibility of a Campus-in-Campus (CIC) initiative between University of Waterloo and University of Tsukuba, especially in joint research, faculty, student and staff mobility.

Visit of Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)

MUT delegation visit

We welcomed the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) in South Africa to campus on Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 18.  The MUT delegates were here to understand Work-Integrated Learning and student employability at UW, and discuss student entrepreneurship.

Visit of Wuhan University

Delegates from Wuhan University

On Monday October 1 and Tuesday October 2, 2018, the University of Waterloo welcomed delegates from Wuhan University (WHU) for a two-day visit.  The objective of the visit was to review existing 2+2 programs, discuss new work-plans, explore the possibility of a study abroad program, and discuss student innovation, entrepreneurship, and co-op education.
