International scholar, Dr. Jodi Oakman, will explore interactions between work and health, starting from the premise that good work has beneficial health outcomes and supports productivity. Drawing on contemporary and emerging research, the presentation will examine the requirements for healthy work environments to support the creation of sustainable working conditions to promote long working lives.

Neural Feedback Control of Exercise Physiology and Performance: Knowns and Unknowns

The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences (KHS) is excited to host Dr. Jerome "Jerry" Dempsey for a lecture on "Neural Feedback Control of Exercise Physiology and Performance: Knowns and Unknowns" on Wednesday, October 30 at 2:30 PM. Dr. Dempsey, will also lead a graduate lecture series from October 28 to November 1, with daily sessions covering respiratory physiology and exercise responses. A Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Dempsey has made groundbreaking contributions to the field, with over 419 peer-reviewed publications and extensive mentorship experience.
