With an international team of colleagues, KI Professor Vanessa Schweizer co-authored a paper on how to iterate between the techniques of meta-studies and developing computer simulations for land change science.

From meta-studies to modeling: Using synthesis knowledge to build broadly applicable process-based land change models is available open access at the web site for the journal Environmental Modelling & Software and will appear in the Oct. 2015 issue.

Ben Carr, Bachelor of Knowledge Integration Class of 2015, is being honoured with the Faculty of Environment Alumni Gold Medal Award when he convocates today.

The award is given to the top student graduating in the Faculty of Environment, based on academic achievement, contributions to the academic program, and other contributions.

We are pleased to announce that KI Professor Vanessa Schweizer will lead the Canadian component of a global citizen consultation initiative called "World Wide Views on Climate and Energy".

The University of Waterloo, in collaboration with the Balsillie School of International Affairs, will host the forum on Saturday, June 6th at Knox Church in Waterloo, Ontario.
