New digital collection: Alice Riggs Hunt notebook

Monday, December 21, 2015

Special Collections & Archives is pleased to announce a new digital collection, the Alice Riggs Hunt notebook!

Alice Riggs Hunt was a journalist and women's rights activist. In 1916-1917, she travelled to West Virginia to campaign for equal suffrage. While there she kept a notebook detailing her travels, whom she met, where she spoke, and the responses that she received.

In the fall of 2015, the notebook was transcribed by students from Women's Studies 101. A heartfelt thank you to WS101!
