Women's Studies collections

For the past year Special Collections & Archives has been working to provide better access to our women’s studies collections through redescribing and digitizing the materials, as well as making our finding aids for these collections available online.

You can see the results of our efforts on our website under our thematic area “Women’s Studies”  as well as in our digital collections section where we have scanned and made available women’s scrapbooks, notebooks and recipe books, and our suffragette postcard collection.

Through the course of this project we have come across some interesting items including, (but certainly not limited to!):

  • Votes for Women suffragette banner (Alice Riggs Hunt WA 15)

Votes for Women banner

  • Photographs of Martha Louise Black in the Yukon (WA 19)
