Anne Robinson

Dr. Anne G. Robinson is a distinguished supply chain strategy and analytics executive with a proven track record in digital transformation and operations management. As the founder of Robinson Insights, she provides strategic advisory services to businesses and academic institutions, leveraging her extensive experience in managing complex, global supply chains. Her career highlights include serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Kinaxis, where she drove the company's strategic roadmap and elevated value for customers through collaboration with industry thought leaders and the identification of emerging technologies and trends. Additionally, as Executive Director of Global Supply Chain at Verizon, she led the strategic vision for the company’s end-to-end supply chain, focusing on data analytics and process innovation.
A recognized leader in analytics and digital transformation, Dr. Robinson has held significant roles at industry leaders like Cisco, where she managed advanced analytics, business intelligence, and performance management teams. Her contributions to the field have earned her numerous accolades, including the Martin K. Starr Excellence in Production and Operations Management Practice Award. As a Fellow and past president of INFORMS (the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences), she has made substantial contributions to advancing operations research and analytics practice.
Dr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mathematics from Acadia University, a Master of Applied Science in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo, and both a Master of Science and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. Originally from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, she now resides in Ottawa, Canada, with her 8-year-old daughter. In addition to her professional achievements, she serves as a supply chain mentor for the Creative Destruction Lab, supporting seed-stage science and technology companies. Balancing her career with family life, Anne enjoys building Legos with her daughter, reflecting her belief in creativity and collaboration both at home and in her professional endeavours.
Kamal Aman
Kamal Aman is the chief technical officer and co-founder of Kitchener-based MAJiK Systems, a real-time production-monitoring solution for manufacturers. Under his technical leadership, MAJiK’s Visual Factory and IIoT Connect platforms transform PLC, SCADA, and ERP data into AI-powered insights that help factories improve operational effectiveness. By distilling complex machine telemetry into a simplified digital model of the entire manufacturing process, MAJiK Systems empowers teams to pinpoint bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Mark Zschocke
Mark has 20 years of experience in helping organizations make better decisions and develop innovative solutions, working internationally with entrepreneurs, midsize organizations, and a number of the Global 500. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo, has received multiple awards for innovation and excellence, published in top academic journals, and is a U.S. patent inventor. As an ICF certified coach, Mark’s focus is on the individual and his true passion is helping people make decisions with clarity and courage.
Faizan Mian
Faizan is a 2017 graduate of the Management Engineering program from the University of Waterloo and is currently leading platform strategy and partnerships for Uber Advertising globally. Prior to his role at Uber, he has worked at organizations such as Walmart, CIBC, and Rogers in areas that span advertising, customer identity, and digital platforms.
Desh
Since graduating from UW in 1987 from the Faculty of Science, Desh has held a number of successful roles with local companies including Open Text, Mitra Imaging/Agfa HealthCare, Sandvine Inc., Oculys Health as well as health care giant McKesson. Through his career he has leveraged his passion for knowledge, innovation and finding challenging problems to seek out ever more interesting roles.
Most recently Desh served as the Vice President of Operations & Engineering (Oculys Solutions) for VitalHub Inc in Toronto. He previously held roles as VP, Product Development & VP, Professional Services with Trustpoint Innovation in Waterloo, and Director of Engineering with McKesson Medical Imaging in Vancouver, BC. Prior to moving to Vancouver he was a Director of Engineering with Sandvine, and Head of Testing Services at Agfa HealthCare in Waterloo.
Currently Desh manages his consulting & coaching business, Oraculi Growth to leverage his 30+ years of experience in helping businesses and their leadership overcome obstacles and hurdles standing in the way of their success.
