Managerial accounting focuses on the use of accounting information by managers inside an organization. GAAP or other regulations dictates what information to use for Financial Accounting and the development of Financial Statements for external reporting or determining taxes due. Managerial accounting has no regulations. This course will focus on several broad fundamental managerial accounting methods as well as teach you how to read and use externally reported financial statements.
Understanding how to use accounting information, whether management or financial accounting, to effectively answer questions is what this course is about.
