Term and Year of offering: Fall 2015
Course Number and Title: MSCI 603 Research (MMSC Online only)
Instructor’s Name: Rasha Kashef
Course Description: See description in the Graduate Calendar
This course is an introduction to Operations Research models and applications. The emphasis is on deterministic optimization. The goal of the course is to introduce students to the use of quantitative approaches to problem solving, to mathematical modeling and formulation, and to available solution methods and output analysis. Students are introduced to a variety of practical problem formulations in Management and Engineering. The topics to be covered include linear and integer programming, network models, project management, and decision analysis. Students are also involved in a group project, where they are expected to perform modeling, analytical solution and output analysis.
