Dematic, a supply chain optimisation and automation company, marks the one-year anniversary at its Waterloo location and celebrates by creating scholarships valued at $10,000 for University of Waterloo Management Engineering students. Dematic has an outstanding relationship with the Management Sciences department at Waterloo.

Dematic’s research projects focus on two areas. One is looking at developing an algorithm for mixed-case palletisation—primarily in the grocery industry—while the other is working to build an operational analytics platform.
The Dematic Scholarship for Excellence in Supply Chain Optimization will be awarded to third and fourth-year Management Engineering students based on academic standing and an essay submission. There will be two awards granted each year for the next two years, each worth $2,500.
All Management Engineering students are encouraged to apply. The deadline is February 1st 2016.
