Management engineering is a co-operative education program that provides exciting opportunities for our students to gain hands-on professional experience to complement their academic studies.
A wide spectrum of employment opportunities exists for those in management engineering, including roles such as business analyst, data scientist, product manager, consultant, software developer, and more.
Work/study sequencing
Participation in co-op is mandatory for management engineering students. Students must successfully complete five co-op terms to graduate; however, six co-op terms are scheduled. The work/study sequence is as follows:

Management engineering students must submit a work term report at the beginning of 3A, 3B, and 4A. Detailed instructions can be found at MSCI 391/392/492 Work Term Reports (PDF). Each 0.125 unit course contributes to the term average, making it worth 1/4 of a 0.50 unit course.
