Safety and precautions in labs

Mechatronics Engineering is a lab intensive program. Students are exposed to a variety of equipment and machinery. Although effort is made to ensure the safe operation of all lab equipment and machines, these machines can cause injury if operated improperly. Take precautions and avoid injury!

Safety information will be given to students in two parts:

  1. Complete the online safety quiz  (mandatory for working in laboratories on campus). Once completed, your name is stored in a database. It must be completed individually.

  2. Second component of the safety information will be conducted during your safety lecture.

Please sign the safety declaration form that will be circulated by your class representatives at the end of the safety lecture. Safety in the laboratories is taken very seriously.
