Congratulations to PhD candidate Bronwyn Forrest, who has received the Dr. Guyléne Proulx OC Scholarship. Dr. Proulx was an innovative researcher in the field of human behaviour in emergencies, such as fire alarms, fire alarm audibility, signal recognition, effectiveness, and the impact of voice communication messages on evacuation. Bronwyn’s as she investigates the human physiological response to fire exposure. This type of research honours the legacy that Dr. Proulx built in her profession. Plus, Bronwyn will have the chance to share her knowledge at the upcoming Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) conference.
