MME Prof honoured by technical university in Germany

A professor at Waterloo Engineering was recently honoured by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany in front of an audience of almost 2,000 people

Kaan Erkorkmaz, a professor of mechanical and mechatronics engineering, was one of 11 top international researchers recognized as TUM Ambassadors on stage during an annual summer concert.

TUM has been recognizing researchers who contribute their experience and expertise to the university since 2013.

Erkorkmaz conducts research in the areas of precision manufacturing, machining and dynamics, and controls and optimal trajectory planning for machine tools to increase productivity, part quality and resource efficiency in manufacturing.
