MME professor Beth Weckman awarded New Frontiers in Research funding with Paolo Dominelli from Health

Seven University of Waterloo researchers were awarded funding through the Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund.

The funding was part of a national announcement of $45-million by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry and the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Health.

Paolo Dominelli (Professor, Kinesiology and Health Sciences) and Beth Weckman (Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering) received $245,866 for A Next Generation Fire Safety Companion: Grounded in Science, Embracing Population Diversity.
