Six Waterloo Engineering undergraduate students placed among the top three at this year’s Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC), held last month in Engineering 7 at the University of Waterloo.
Teams won first place in the Innovative Design category and third in the Re-Engineering challenge.
First place in the Innovative Design category was awarded to fourth-year mechanical engineering students Ben Beazley, Collin Bolt, Jake Chateauneuf and Alexsa Laddaran.
Omar Atwa and Omkaar Kamath, third-year management sciences engineering students, received third place in the Re-Engineering category.
CEC is an annual competition that brings together engineering students from across the country who achieved top performance in four regional qualifying competitions.
