Dr. Naser Mehrabi presented in MapleSim eSymposium series: Musculoskeletal model of cycling

MapleSim eSymposium Series: Predictive Simulation of Cycling with MapleSim

In this presentation, Dr. Naser Mehrabi demonstrated how MapleSim was used to create a musculoskeletal model of lower-extremities and a neuromuscular controller to simulate forward dynamics of cycling.

MASc student Sara Greenberg has combined her passion for the performing arts with cutting edge research to create mesmerizing acrobatic performances.

Sara Greenberg has tenure in Motion Research Group and Vision and Image Processing lab in the department of Systems Design Engineering.

University of Waterloo graduate reinvents hockey skate blades

Jeffrey Azzolin, a University of Waterloo graduate, has created a startup company to make better skate blades. 

The idea sparked in his fourth-year mechanical engineering design project. With the help of his supervisor, Professor John McPhee, the new blade design increases the acceleration, top speed and agility of the players by five per cent.

Brok Laschowski featured in Waterloo Engineering Alumni Letter

Brok Laschowski research in Paralympic sports engineering and wheelchair biomechanics was featured in the Waterloo Engineering Alumni Letter (eWEAL). Brok is working in collaboration with Dr. Naser Mehrabi and Professor John McPhee.
