exoExoskeleton research led by PhD candidate Brokoslaw Laschowski and supervised by Professor John McPhee was featured on BBC News [video]. Laschowski is using computer vision and deep learning models to develop autonomous controllers for robotic exoskeleton legs.

This research is in collaboration with Professor Alexander Wong, Canada Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Medical Imaging, and PhD candidate William McNally. For more information, see their journal [paper] published in Frontiers in Robotics and AI and recent preprint "Computer Vision and Deep Learning for Environment-Adaptive Control of Robotic Lower-Limb Exoskeletons".
