Concert Details
We are please to present the 3rd place winner of the 2023 Concerto and Aria competition. Julian Dominguez-Schatz, a recent Computer Science graduate, will be performing Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor along with the orchestra.
The other two pieces are:
Weber, Overture to Der Freischütz
Beethoven, Symphony no. 6
Directed by Daniel Warren, the 40 member orchestra is a combination of undergraduates, graduate students, staff, and community members that practice every week at Conrad Grebel University College. If you are interested in auditioning for the orchestra next term, see the Ensemble page.
This concert will be dedicated to violist Ken Kosow, a longtime community member of the orchestra, who recently passed away.
Admission to the concert is free. Knox Presbyterian is easily accessible from campus either via the ION or by walking through Waterloo Park. This is a popular concert, so please come on time to obtain a seat.
