Programme

Caroline Schmidt, mezzo-soprano, and Christine Klaver-Schmidt, pianist, are thrilled to present a program of music composed solely by female Canadian Composers, and including lyrics primarily from Canadian poets. These chosen composers hail from all over Canada, and their works explore experiences from the east coast all the way to the west. These works delve into a variety of aspects of life through song: the beauty of nature and love, but also the pain that makes all of our lives bittersweet.

As well as performing together for this noon hour concert, they are colleagues at the Inter Mennonite Children's Choir.
