This concert features violinists Adam Diderrich and Marcus Scholtes, violist Ethan Filner, cellist Rebecca Morton, and clarinetist Barbara Hankins.
Haydn's String Quartet Op 20, No 5 will open the concert, followed by American composer Dan Coleman's Quintet. Each movement of this work borrows its title from a poem by Elizabeth Bishop, and was inspired by the sounds, rhythms, emotions and imagery found in her work. Mark Vuorinen will read the poems.
The concert will conclude with the lively Rondo from Carl Maria von Weber's Quintet for clarinet and strings.
