Choir Divas: From Opera to Bollywood
Join the UW Choir in a moving and energetic program of music for the cinema and stage, ranging from Italian operas, including La Traviata and Il Trovatore to musicals -- Les Miserable, Into the Woods, South Pacific, and Candide. Join the choir in singing selections from Rogers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music. Finally, be there to see our first ever foray into the music of Bollywood!

The UW Jazz Ensemble will perform a selection of classic jazz pieces.
Featuring the music of Chuck Magione, George Gershwin, Gordon Goodwin of the Phat Band with special guest Ernie Kalwa on Tenor Sax.
Each Instrumental Chamber Ensemble consists of two to seven players, playing selected pieces from great composers. Sometimes we have classical guitars or brass groups, but the most common grouping is stringed instruments with a piano accompaniment.
We have the Schubert String Quartet No. 14 "Death and the Maiden", Brahms clarinet trio op. 114, Boccherini piano quintet No. 6 "The Night Watch in Madrid" and Florent Schmitt's Sonatine en trio.
Come join us for a delightful Sunday evening concert, with delicious Grebel refreshments to follow.

The UW Gamelan Ensemble, directed by Dr. Maisie Sum and featuring Balinese guest artist I Dewa Made Suparta, will play a selection of Balinese gamelan pieces.
Free Admission. All are welcome.
The Western Collective is a group of faculty members from the University of Western Ontario. They will be performing the Trio by Rochberg, and a selection of other pieces.

Together with the Grand Philharmonic Choir and the KW Symphony, the UW Chamber Choir will perform Bach's St. Matthew Passion at the Centre in the Square. First performed in Leipzig on Good Friday in 1727, the St. Matthew Passion is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of sacred classical music.
We welcome family and friends to celebrate with graduates from Conrad Grebel University College and the University of Waterloo on Sunday, April 19, 2015, 2:00 p.m. in the Humanities Theatre on the University of Waterloo campus.
