A concert of mixed American and Canadian Jazz Compositions. Included in the this performance the music of Duke Ellington, Rob McConnell, Pat Metheny, Thelonious Monk and Dave Young.

Soprano Rebecca McKay and pianist Jodie Van der Heide will present a selection of pieces by women composers. Some are well known such as Alma Mahler and other composers not so much, namely Katerina Gimon. However, all will be delightful pieces.

This concert presents European composers in 20 century with variety of compositional style. Violinist Jung Tsai, violist Judith Davenport, and cellist Rebecca Morton are the featured musicians.
Andromeda Trio was recently awarded grants from Canada Council for the Arts and the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund to commission, workshop and record a piece by Canadian composer, Karen Sunabacka, which will explore Métis-Mennonite relations in Canada, which reflects the ancestries of our ensemble.
Mezzo-soprano Caroline Schmidt will perform songs by Canadian women composers, accompanied by pianist Christine Klaver-Schmidt. These works delve into a variety of aspects of life through song: the beauty of nature and love, but also the pain that makes all of our lives bittersweet.
Violinist Jung Tsai, accompanied by pianist Anna Ronai, will perform works by Eugene Ysaye, Karol Szymanovski, and George Gershwin.
