There is no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Please join us for our Spring term jazz ensemble concert.
Enjoy music performed by 4 to 6 different student chamber groups, including string trios and piano quartets.
This was the postponed recital from Tuesday, July 22.
Hailing from the heart of Europe’s classical tradition, the Vienna-based Cuore Piano Trio brings a refined yet daring voice to the chamber music stage. Formed by three musicians united by a deep commitment to the piano trio repertoire, the ensemble draws inspiration from Vienna’s rich musical lineage—home to Haydn, Schubert, and Brahms—while embracing the challenges and emotional landscapes of 20th-century works.
The Cardinal Consort of Viols and special guest, the riveting and compelling soprano Meredith Hall, perform Exiled, a concert of music for viols and voice, with works by John Dowland, Claudia Rusca, Domenico Cato, and others.
ANIMA presents Wedded Pride, a celebration in word & music, ancient & modern, of queer love, friendship, & marriage, in honour of Pride and of the 20th anniversary of the Civil Marriage Act. The musicians for this concert include well known local counter-tenor Daniel Cabena plus Luke Hathaway, Henry Oswald Peirson, & Lesley Emma Bouza.
Pianist Ryan Baxter, a DPA candidate at Western University, will perform music that connects to the environment.
The Magisterra Quartet, led by Annette-Barbara Vogel, will perform Mozart's Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, K. 478 (1785) and Henrique Oswald's Quartet No. 2 in G Minor, op.26.
Both the Warga Santi (Community Gamelan) and the student ensemble will perform classic Gamelan pieces at this concert.
