The UW Choir invites you to come to hear a wonderful evening of song and celebration. Selected music spans 4 centuries, with something for everyone's musical preference.
Our 2024 winter term concert will feature composers who have contributed to this music’s unique history. Influences of Brazilian Samba, driven Big Band Swing and the odd meter Jazz Waltz will be presented. A few of the composers contributing this term are Gordon Goodwin, Sammy Niehaus, Tito Puento and Quincy Jones.
Come and join us as we journey once again into America’s Music … “Jazz”.
Six different ensemble groups will play a selection of classical music, directed by Ben Bolt-Martin.
The 60 voice University Choir will present a selection of music from composers such as Gjeilo, Runestad, and Vasks.
Instrumental Chamber Ensemble students come from all six faculties, and play in chamber groups of three to four players.
The UWaterloo Jazz Ensemble plays a selection of classic jazz pieces, especially suitable for a summer afternoon.
The Orchestra@UWaterloo will present a selection of classical music pieces.
