University Choir - Spring 2024

University Choir at St. Matthews

The University Choir meets every Tuesday in the Conrad Grebel University College (CGUC) Chapel from 7:00 to 10:00 pm beginning the second week of classes. This large choir of approximately 70 singers performs a variety of works from the past and present. A brief vocal interview is required. Acceptance into the University Choir is by interview and at the discretion of the director, Liska Jetchick. The University Choir is open to students from all Faculties, staff, and Faculty members.

1. Participant form

To participate in the University Choir you need to fill out the Participant Form every term. There is no LEARN for Ensembles, so this is a crucial step.  If you have any further questions please email the Ensemble Coordinator, Angelica Allen.

New singers interested in participating in the choir are required to do a vocal hearing/audition, which will take place in the Chapel on May 9 and May 14 from 6 to 9:00pm.  You will receive the link once you fill out the participant form.

  • If you sang in the University Choir during the Fall 2023 or Winter 2024 term, please contact Liska Jetchick  directly.  Do not forget to fill out the participant form. You will get a separate vocal hearing.
  • Returning students, please learn the following piece: tba
  • If you have not sung in the University Choir previously, please learn this piece.
