Join us for our second annual Pharmacy Research Day, where we showcase the leading edge research of graduate students and post doctoral fellows conducting research in fields related to clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical sciences, and pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics.  

In March 2016, Melissa Sheldrick’s 8-year-old son Andrew died after a series of errors were made during the dispensing process at their pharmacy. In this public lecture, hear how this tragic event inspired Melissa’s campaign to improve medication error reporting across Canada, and learn about the medication use process, including the role we can all play in ensuring medication safety.

About this Event

This year's OPA cup will be hosted by the University of Waterloo at the Aud in Kitchener.

While we can't reconnect in the way we planned, we hope you can join us virtually for the fifth annual Waterloo Pharmacy Reunion CE Saturday – it’s a great opportunity to connect with former classmates, faculty, and staff while hearing about the latest hot topics in pharmacy practice.

Registration is free and includes a half-day of continuing education on current and emerging trends in the pharmacy world. 

Join us on October 5 at 6:30pm for a virtual PEBC Prep session with alumni Khrystine Waked (Rx 2018) and Ashley Bancsi (Rx 2019). Ashley and Khrystine will share strategies for PEBC preparation, what to focus on, what to expect and helpful study tips. They will then answer your questions.

While we cannot celebrate this milestone with you in the way that we planned, we hope that you can join us virtually at the Waterloo Pharmacy Convocation Reception to congratulate you and celebrate with your Pharmacy classmates, faculty, staff and families! The Waterloo Pharmacy Convocation Reception will take place at 6pm, following the wider Faculty of Science Live Virtual Celebration that is scheduled at 5pm. 

Join alumni, members of the pharmacy profession, faculty and staff as we celebrate Dr. David Edwards' time as Hallman Director of the School of Pharmacy. It will be an entertaining hour, filled with remarks from colleagues, alumni, students and friends as well as some fun video presentations.
