Andy Kwok (Rx2022) was inspired to pursue a hospital pharmacy career after experiencing different pharmacy careers during his co-op work terms. Working in a hospital environment, a family health team and a community pharmacy empowered him to choose what he felt most drawn to.

During the COVID-19 pandemic Laura’s perspective on what role a pharmacist could play shifted and brought her to the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy Ambulatory Care Residency Program which she completed in 2022.

Khrystine Waked (Rx2018) is a pharmacist at a family health team and an adjunct clinical assistant professor. She completed the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy Ambulatory Care Residency Program in 2019, the second resident to graduate.

The University of Waterloo and Centre for Family Medicine - Family Health Team residency program graduates primary care pharmacists who provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for our growing communities. The program has been awarded full accreditation by the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board.
